Colbert Report boosts Michael Steele’s effort to bring hip-hop into the Republican Party

Michael Steele, who served as Lieutenant Governor of Maryland from 2003-2007, recently won the Chairmanship of the Republican National Committee, and immediately delved into the task of bringing a new image to the party.

Michael Steele’s changes include a presentation more marketable to minorities
“…We want to convey that the modern-day GOP looks like the conservative party that stands on principles. But we want to apply them to urban-surburban hip-hop settings."

Since then, Steele has given a somewhat stereotypical mix of conservative values and hip-hop. This video from Colbert, while comical, provides what would be a more effective approach:
